What chairs will the Gilligan model fit?

The Gilligan chair mount ZyberShield™ is compatible with the Adec 511. Additional chair compatibility data will be published in the near future. You can determine your chair's compatibility by measuring the head rest support bar on your existing chair. The Gilligan is designed to mount to a flat bar 2 inches wide and 1/4 inch thick. It can accommodate flat bars less than 2 inches wide and up to 1/2 inch thick.  Please refer to installation video for details.

Does the Gilligan model have negative airflow?

Yes, the Gilligan has negative airflow using the chair's existing high speed suction.

When will my ZyberShield™ ship?

The Zybershield™, will be shipped as soon as the order is received. We ship Monday through Friday.  Package typically takes 3--5 business days to arrive.

How do I clean my ZyberShield™?

We clean the ZyberShield™ and arm with disinfectant typically used in a clinical setting. We then use a damp microfiber cloth to remove streaks and residue as needed.

How do I hook it up to suction?

The ZyberShield™ has a negative air flow which is hooked up to the HVAC/High speed suction.  When you get the ZyberShield™ it will come with the suction tubing, but you will need to attach a standard disposable High Vac suction tip into the tubing as an adapter.  We have found that if you cut the disposable suction tip into two equal parts, one half can be attached to the tubing under the shield and the other half attaches to the tubing which attached to the high speed suction (see photos page on website).  These can be changed out as frequently as needed.

How do I position the ZyberShield™ over the patient?

The Shield should be up in a neutral position as the patient enters or exits the chair.  The patient is reclined back into operating position.  We leave the Shield in neutral position to give anesthetic. The Shield is then positioned by loosening the knobs slightly and moving the arm close to the head rest and the Shield over the patient's face.  The Shield should be 3-4" above the forehead and 6-8" above the patient's chin.  The Shield will have a angle of ±30 degrees toward the patient's feet. This will allow for ease of movement under the Shield.  The Shield should be parallel with your face, not the patient's face.
